The Maruti Escudo is going to be the brand's latest SUV under the Arena range of dealerships. In this story, let’s take a look at its key details along with the launch timeline.
The Maruti Escudo draws design cues from the Grand Vitara, featuring split LED headlights and connected LED tail lamps. Positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, it will be sold via the Arena network and skip Nexa-specific design elements.
Though not officially confirmed, the Escudo is expected to include a panoramic sunroof (a first for the Arena line), ambient lighting, 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and rear AC vents.
The Escudo is likely to feature the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 103PS and 138Nm, with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes. A CNG variant is also expected, but a hybrid option is unlikely.
The Maruti Escudo is expected to launch in September 2025, with bookings likely to open in August 2025. Unofficial bookings may begin in the months prior.
