The 2025 Renault Kwid is expected to feature subtle design changes, taking cues from the facelifted Triber and Kiger. The most noticeable change will likely be the adoption of Renault’s new 2D logo. In addition, minor cosmetic tweaks such as revised headlights, reprofiled bumpers, and refreshed wheel covers may be introduced.
The current Kwid already offers a strong feature set, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and electronic stability program. With the 2025 update, Renault might focus on enhancing safety, with the biggest expected addition being six airbags.
Renault will likely continue with the existing 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine in the updated Kwid. This engine delivers 69PS of power and 92.5Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Additionally, a dealer-fitted CNG kit will remain available, but only with the manual transmission option.
The 2025 Renault Kwid is expected to launch in the Indian market by late September 2025. This update follows the recent facelift rollouts for the Triber and Kiger, positioning the Kwid as Renault’s refreshed entry-level model until its next-generation products are introduced.
The Kwid will continue to hold its place as Renault’s most affordable car in India. It will primarily compete with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, its only direct rival in the segment. With refreshed styling and improved safety, the Kwid aims to stay relevant in the shrinking entry-level hatchback market.
