Recently, Tata Motors released a new teaser that didn’t just showcase the Tata Sierra ICE in its full, ready to go on sale avatar. But the real eye-catcher was the Sierra EV, something we hadn’t seen in previous teasers. The EV sports a vibrant yellow exterior and its design mirrors much of the ICE version, creating a clear link between the two.
2026 Tata Sierra EV design highlights a sleek LED lighting strip stretching across the front, with the Tata logo positioned just below. A bit lower, there are split headlamps, a black bumper, and a silver underbelly skid plate. From the side, the EV looks clean and has door handles similar to the Curvv EV. At the back, it features a similar full-width LED taillight.
In the earlier teaser, we got a glimpse of the Tata Sierra’s interior. There’s a triple-screen setup, the familiar four-spoke Tata steering wheel, a Phygital control panel, and a smart digital shifter. The dashboard design reminds you a little of the Curvv EV. The cabin is expected to be spacious, with plenty of headroom and leatherette seats. Like the ICE version, the Sierra EV carries over much of the same interior.
Powertrain-wise, the Tata Curvv EV is expected to use familiar battery options from the brand’s existing lineup — a smaller 55kWh pack and a larger 65kWh unit borrowed from the Harrier EV. The Sierra is said to offer a claimed range of around 500 km on a single charge. It’s also likely to come with an AWD drivetrain setup, probably reserved for the higher trims,
The Tata Sierra launch date is expected on 15 November 2025. Once the ICE version hits the market, the Sierra EV launch is likely to follow.
The upcoming Tata electric SUV in India is expected to be priced northwards of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it above the Tata Curvv EV.
