Reason for the recall

The reason for the recall is a potentially faulty TPMS, with the remote start antenna cable being pinched, resulting in the TPMS warning light to not light up. This could cause an incorrect tyre pressure being unnoticed by the driver, increasing the risk of accidents.

The units affected include those manufactured between 2024-25. Owners can enter their SUV’s VIN at NTHSA’s recall portal to see if their vehicle is a part of the recall or not.

Next steps for Jeep Wrangler owners

Jeep should soon reach out to owners of the affected SUVs to inspect the cable and replace it, if needed, with no charge to the customers. Alternatively, owners can reach out to their nearest Jeep dealership or contact Jeep customer service.
