All-new Nissan Micra EV revealed — Will it come to India?

All-new design

The sixth-generation Nissan Micra debuts with a completely new and quirky design. It features semi-circle LED DRLs and a sculpted bumper with gloss black and satin finishes. The side profile includes stylish alloy wheels and a charging port on the front left fender.

Interior and features

Inside, the Micra EV continues the quirky theme with a modern and tech-rich cabin. It comes with two 10.1-inch screens—one for infotainment and the other as a digital driver display.

Powertrain options

The Micra EV is offered with two battery options. The 40kWh pack powers a 123PS motor and delivers a certified range of 308km. The larger 52kWh battery comes with a 150PS motor and offers a 408km range.

Platform and underpinnings

This new Micra is built on the Renault 5 platform, showcasing the shared EV architecture within the Renault-Nissan alliance. This platform helps combine compact dimensions with efficient electric performance and a distinctive design identity.

India launch possibility

There’s no official word on the Micra EV’s launch in India yet. However, Nissan has previously hinted at introducing an A-segment EV developed with Renault, which is likely to be smaller than the Micra EV.
