The Baleno becomes the latest car from the Maruti stable to get six airbags as standard, right from the base variant.
It’s not just the Baleno, rather all Maruti Suzuki cars in India will have six airbags as standard by the end of this year, as claimed by the carmaker.
After the standardisation of six airbags, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is now priced between Rs Rs 6.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant to Rs Rs 9.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the fully-loaded variant.
This translates to a bump of Rs 3,350 to Rs 4,960, depending on the variant, which does not seem to be too bad, actually.
While the higher-end Zeta and Alpha trims did get six airbags before this update, prices for these variants have also been increased.
Along with the Baleno, the Ertiga has also got six airbags as standard, the details of which can be found in another story. Head over to www.cars24.com/news .
