Citroen has begun accepting pre-bookings for the 2025 Basalt X at a token amount of Rs 11,000, available both online and at dealerships.
Teaser images reveal a refreshed dashboard design with bronze accents on the AC vents and a new black-and-tan dual-tone upholstery.
Like the C3 X, the Basalt X is expected to become the top trim in the line-up, possibly adding features such as keyless entry, push-button start/stop, a 360-degree camera and new colour options.
The SUV will continue with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 110PS and up to 205Nm torque, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.
The Basalt X is likely to be priced Rs 10,000 – Rs 25,000 higher than the current top-spec trim. Prices for the existing Basalt range between Rs 8.32 lakh and Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with the updated version expected to launch in early September 2025.
