Honda India has added a new exterior colour to the 3rd-gen Amaze — Crystal Black Pearl. It’s now available across all three trims: V, VX, and ZX. That said, there’s a catch. The new colour comes standard on some variants, but on others, it’ll cost a bit extra.
The Honda Amaze V is offered in four colours: lunar silver metallic, platinum white pearl, obsidian blue pearl, and the newly added crystal black pearl. Of the four, only lunar silver metallic is included in the base price. If you want any of the others—including the new black—you’ll need to pay an additional Rs 8,000.
The Honda Amaze VX comes with a broader selection of colours—seven in total. These include lunar silver metallic, platinum white pearl, obsidian blue pearl, crystal black pearl (which is new), meteoroid grey metallic, golden brown metallic, and radiant red metallic. Out of the seven, three shades—platinum white, obsidian blue, and crystal black—come at an added cost of Rs 8,000.
The Honda Amaze ZX gets the same set of seven exterior colours as the VX variant.
The Honda Amaze is currently priced between Rs 8.09 lakh and Rs 11.19 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new GST reform coming into effect on September 22, the price will drop by up to Rs 95,500. The revised pricing is likely to be revealed on the same day.
The Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, producing a lively 90PS of power and 112Nm of torque. It claims an ARAI mileage of 18.65 kmpl with the manual gearbox, while the CVT version has a claimed ARAI figure of 19.46 kmpl.
