Honda Cars India reported a 22.75% year-on-year drop in domestic sales for April 2025 compared to April 2024, reflecting pressure from market challenges and increased competition.
In April 2025, Honda dispatched 4,871 units in total—3,360 to the domestic market and 1,511 for exports. This marks a decline from April 2024’s 4,351 domestic and 6,516 export units.
Compared to March 2025, where domestic sales were 7,228 and exports stood at 4,656, April 2025 showed a sharp MoM decline of 53.51% (domestic) and 67.54% (exports).
Honda attributed the lower dispatches to a deliberate strategy aimed at maintaining optimal dealership inventory and managing operational efficiency amidst weak consumer sentiment.
To counter competition and boost sales, Honda is set to launch competitively priced variants of the Elevate SUV, with additional benefits aimed at enhancing customer value.
