Hyundai Motor India reported sales of 44,374 units in April 2025, marking a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 8.9% and a month-on-month (MoM) drop of 14.4% compared to March 2025.
The decline is partly attributed to higher dealer shipments in March 2025, as Hyundai anticipated an April sales rise. Reports suggest this move helped secure 2nd position in annual FY 2024-25 domestic sales.
Despite domestic competition, Hyundai saw strong export performance, registering a 21.5% YoY increase in April 2025 and a 16.2% rise in exports from January to April 2025.
Hyundai dispatched 5,98,666 units in FY 2024-25, retaining its position as the second-largest domestic carmaker and the top exporter of passenger cars in India.
SUVs comprised 68.5% of Hyundai’s FY 2024-25 domestic sales, with the Hyundai Creta dominating the C-SUV segment and emerging as India’s best-selling SUV from January to March 2024.
