Maruti Suzuki is exporting its Fronx SUV to Japan. The made-in-India Fronx will soon be available for sale in Japan, featuring some differences from the Indian variant.
The Japanese Fronx will offer an AWD configuration with four off-road modes — Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock. It will also feature a retuned suspension, a set of ADAS features, and more.
The Fronx sold in Japan will feature a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, available with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In India, the engine options consist of a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Fronx bound for the Japanese market comes with an ADAS suite, heated seats, and an electronic parking brake with a hill-hold function. It also features front parking sensors.
The Suzuki Fronx will have a dark brown and plum-coloured interior, with a piano black finish on various surfaces and a leatherette and cloth upholstery.
The Suzuki Fronx offers nine exterior colour options, including five dual-tone and four mono-tone choices.
In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx colour options include a total of ten colours, with three dual-tone and seven single-colour options.
