The Kia Carens Clavis launch is around the corner. Spy shots of the test mule have been seen earlier, showing a shape that looks quite similar to the ICE version. It is expected to carry over most of the design, with a few small changes. The EV is also anticipated to share its platform with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to come with several key features, including twin 12.25-inch HD displays (infotainment system & driver’s cluster), 4-way powered driver seat, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, V2L & V2V charging support, and 8-speakers, among others. In terms of safety, it may offer 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, BVM, Level 2 ADAS suite, and more.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to come with a battery setup similar to the Hyundai Creta Electric. The Creta Electric comes with two battery options — 42kWh with a claimed range of 390 km, and 51.4kWh with a claimed range of 473 km. It uses a single motor available in two power outputs — 135PS and 171PS.
The Kia Clavis price is expected to range between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with rivals like the MG Windsor EV, BYD eMax 7, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and a few others.
According to Acko Drive reports, the Kia Clavis will launch in India in the second half of the year, around July.
