Kia has revealed a facelifted version of the Carens MPV, which is set to go against other 6 and 7-seater cars in India such as the Alcazar, Ertiga, XL6, and the Innovas. Here are some key Kia Clavis vs Hyundai Alcazar differences.
The Carens Clavis gets a 20mm longer wheelbase than that of the Alcazar. The Kia Carens Clavis wheelbase stands at 2,780mm, while the Hyundai Alcazar wheelbase stands at 2,760mm.
Kia offers a wider range of powertrain options on the Clavis, including the option of a 6-speed iMT with the turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Alcazar comes with bigger 18-inch alloy wheels as optional along with the standard 17-inch ones. The Kia Carens Clavis wheel sizes include 15-inches, 16-inches, and 17-inches.
Some Hyundai Alcazar features that are not available on the Carens Clavis include digital key, electric boss mode, dual-zone climate control, and 8-way powered driver’s seat with memory function.
Some Kia Carens Clavis features that are not available on the Alcazar include one-touch electrically tumbling second row seats, bigger screens for infotainment and instrumentation, and swappable controls for temperature and media settings.
