The Kia Clavis EV launch is approaching, set to become the brand’s first locally produced three-row EV. It’s expected to share the same platform used by the Hyundai Creta Electric. The Kia Clavis EV is likely to be available in both 6- and 7-seater layouts and is expected to come in multiple trim and battery options.
The Kia Clavis EV exterior is likely to take design inspiration from its ICE sibling, launched not too long ago. While retaining the familiar silhouette, it will feature subtle EV-specific highlights including a front-mounted charging port, EV badging, new alloy wheels, & more. Inside, the Clavis EV is expected to share a similar cabin layout with the ICE Clavis, maintaining a clean, modern look with a few EV-focused touches.
The Kia Clavis EV is expected to be packed with a host of features, including a 12.25-inch infotainment screen & digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker audio, wireless charging, 6 airbags, blind-spot monitor, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS suite, among others.
The upcoming Kia Clavis EV is expected to share a similar battery and motor setup with the Hyundai Creta EV. The Creta EV comes with a 42 kWh battery with a claimed range of 390 km, and a larger 51.4 kWh pack with a range of up to 473 km. The Clavis EV is also likely to feature a single-motor configuration.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on rivals like the BYD eMax 7.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is all set to launch on July 15th, with just a few days to go.
