Mahindra has started testing the Scorpio N pick-up truck locally, ahead of its global debut. Both single-cab and dual-cab versions have been spotted on test, heavily camouflaged and sporting temporary headlights.
The pick-up is based on the Scorpio N platform and borrows much of its styling from the SUV. It also draws from the Global Pikup concept showcased last year.
The Scorpio N pick-up is likely to offer key features such as a semi-digital cluster, touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and leatherette seats, while skipping premium touches like a sunroof or ADAS.
The pick-up is expected to come with Mahindra’s 2.2-litre diesel engine, offering both automatic and 4WD options, similar to rivals like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.
A pre-production version is expected to be unveiled at Mahindra’s Freedom NU event on August 15, 2025. However, its market launch is unlikely before 2026.
