Mahindra has sold over 6,300 units of its BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs within a few months of launch, signaling a strong market response.
A media report suggests that Mahindra plans to offer the 79kWh battery pack—currently limited to the top-spec Pack Three variant—in lower variants of both SUVs, making them more affordable with extended range options.
According to Mahindra CEO Rajesh Jejurikar, a larger-than-expected customer segment prioritises battery range over features, leading to 75% of bookings being made for the top-spec Pack Three.
Mahindra aims for broader penetration of lower variants to ensure sustainable growth, noting that customers are delaying bookings until they can test drive or see lower variants in person.
Only Pack Three has been delivered so far. Upcoming delivery schedule: Pack Three Select – June 2025, Pack Two – July 2025 and Pack One – August2025.
