The XEV 9e is the more expensive of the two born-electric Mahindra SUVs in India, and is the one that looks less polarising. It measures larger than the BE 6.
The SUV is available in four variant options — Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.
Mahindra started delivering Pack Three variants back in March and Pack Two from July. Pack one deliveries are to begin this month.
The current waiting period lies between 2-5 months, depending on the variant, city, dealership, colour choice, and other factors.
Prices for the BE 6 start at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant with the 59kWh battery pack, and go up till Rs 30.50 lakh for the top-end variant with the 79kWh battery pack.
Home chargers have to be purchased separately. The 7.2kW charger costs Rs 50,000, and the 11.2kW charger costs Rs 75,000.
