Mahindra is testing the electric version of its XUV 700, called the XUV.e8. A recent spy shot shows its interior, featuring a long rectangular panel with three divided screens. These appear to include a driver display, an infotainment system, and a passenger display.
This EV is also expected to feature a two-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, ventilated seats, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-way powered driver seat, and more.
In terms of safety features, the electric version is expected to offer the same range as its ICE counterpart. Additionally, it will likely include an ADAS suite that may provide even more options than the ICE version.
The Mahindra XUV e.8 features distinct design elements, including a "Ɪ" shaped connected lighting above the headlamp cluster. This front design, seen on test mules, matches the company’s rendered images. The rear tail light is similar to the XUV 700, giving it a sleek look, while the back also resembles the ICE version.
The XUV.e8 EV is expected to be built on Mahindra's INGLO platform. It will feature two battery options: an 80 kWh battery with up to 394PS and a 60 kWh battery with around 285PS. It will have a WLTP-claimed range of up to 450 km.
The pricing for this EV is expected to fall between 34 lakh and 40 lakh. It will directly compete with the BYD Atto 3.
