Launch and pricing

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was launched in South Africa following its April 2025 debut in the Philippines. Though similar in design to the Indian version, it is significantly more expensive—about Rs 4 lakh more for the base variant and up to Rs 2.5 lakh extra for the top-spec model.

Exterior features

Both versions share the same basic styling, including Y-shaped LED tail lights and a chrome strip. However, the South African Dzire gets projector halogen headlights and black 15-inch alloy wheels but misses out on LED DRLs and fog lamps, which are offered in India.

Interior and equipment

Inside, the layout and beige upholstery are shared, but the South African model lacks silver dashboard trim. It also misses features like the single-pane sunroof, wireless charger, push-button start/stop, leatherette steering wheel, and 360-degree camera.

Infotainment and comfort

The South African Dzire uses a 7-inch touchscreen found in lower Indian trims. Both models retain analogue instrument clusters with MID, auto AC with rear vents, and cruise control.

Mechanical advantage

The key edge for the South African Dzire is its CVT gearbox, which is more refined than the AMT used in the Indian version, offering a smoother driving experience.
