The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is the brand’s first all-electric SUV, developed primarily for India. India will also serve as the global manufacturing hub, with units being exported worldwide.
The official launch of the Maruti e Vitara is scheduled for September 3, 2025. Though official bookings haven’t opened yet, several Nexa dealerships have started accepting unofficial bookings, and demo units are available at select showrooms.
Key exterior features include LED lighting all around, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and a single-pane sunroof. Inside, it offers a connected dual-screen setup, wireless smartphone integration, ventilated seats, a 10-way powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and ADAS.
The e Vitara comes with two FWD-only powertrain options in India: 49kWh battery with 144PS and 61kWh battery with 174PS. Both variants offer 189Nm of torque, with AWD not offered in the India-spec version.
Expected to be priced between Rs 20–25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Maruti e Vitara will compete with other mainstream electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, and BYD Atto 3.
