The Fronx is one of the best selling Maruti cars in India, and is exclusively manufactured at MSIL’s Gujarat plant.
Suzuki not just sells the Fronx in India, but also exports it to many other countries in the Middle East, Africa, as well as to its home market in Japan.
The Fronx has become the fastest car in its segment to cross the 1 lakh units milestone for exports. It has been able to achieve this feat in under 25 months.
Notably, the Suzuki Fronx was also the car with the highest export numbers in the financial year 2024-25, with 69,000 units dispatched to global markets.
The carmaker exported a total of 3.3 lakh units in the last financial year. This means that about 20.9% of the brand’s total exports were just of the Fronx crossover.
While the India-spec Fronx is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, cars exported to countries like Japan get a larger 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine.
