Under the hood, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine which comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. An optional CNG version is also on offer for those looking for a cheaper-to-run model.
The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga manual is claimed to deliver 20.51kmpl while the automatic variants boast a claimed mileage of 20.30kmpl. The CNG variants on the other hand are claimed to deliver 26.1km/kg.
The users of the Ertiga manual petrol report a real-life mileage of 16.4kmpl in mixed usage conditions. This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient petrol 7-seater cars in India.
The automatic variants on the other hand are reported to deliver around 15.7kmpl in real-life conditions in mixed conditions. The mileage on the highway however is reported to be around 18-19kmpl with air conditioning on.
Offered only with a manual gearbox, the CNG versions are said to deliver 22km/kg in real-life in mixed usage conditions but some users also report a mileage of up to 25km/kg.
