Before heading into the comparison, it is worth mentioning that both the Ertiga and Triber have been crash tested under the #SaferCarsForAfrica campaign, which tests cars sold in Africa. However, both the tested models are made in India and similar to the models sold in the Indian market.
The Suzuki Ertiga scored 23.63 points out of 34 points in the adult safety crash test, bagging only 1 star in the crash test.
The Renault Triber scored 22.29 points out of 34 points in the adult occupant safety, bagging 2 satrs in the crash test. The Triber scored 1 extra star for the adult occupant safety test, however, the Ertiga scored slightly more points.
The Suzuki Ertiga scored 19.40 points out of 49 points in the child safety crash test, bagging 2 stars in the crash test.
The Renault Triber 19.99 points out of 49 points in the child occupant safety test, bagging 2 stars in the crash test. While both the Ertiga and Triber scored 2 stars for child occupant safety, the Triber scored slightly more points than the Ertiga.
Between the two, looking at the points, the Renault Triber comes across as a safer car between the two. However, the difference is negligible in terms of points and the body shell of both cars was rated unstable.
