Maruti Suzuki October sales achieve record mark

As October comes to a close, Maruti Suzuki's October sales report has reached a new milestone, recording its highest-ever monthly sales with a total of 206,434 units sold.

Sales in October 2024 rose by 3.62%

This sales number, which combines both domestic sales and exports, has seen a 3.62% increase, amounting to 7,217 units more compared to the October 2023 sales figure of 199,217 units.

Certain segments report a decline in sales

In the comparison of October sales reports for 2023 and 2024, several categories faced declines: mini vehicles dropped by 26.63%, compact vehicles by 18.24%, mid-size by 5.18%, vans by 10.19%, and light commercial vehicles by 9.12%. Overall, these categories are still underperforming compared to October 2023.

Select model sales rise in October 2024

In October 2024, utility vehicles such as Brezza, Jimny, XL6, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, and Fronx drove a notable increase in unit sales. Collectively, 70,644 units of these models were sold, marking a 19.44% rise from 59,147 units sold in the same month last year.

Sale to other OEMs saw a two-fold increase

Sales to other OEMs also rose significantly by 90.37%, reaching 10,136 units in October 2024 compared to only 5,325 units in October 2023.

Maruti Suzuki's export sales reach a new peak

Maruti Suzuki also recorded its highest-ever monthly exports in October, reaching 33,168 units. This marks a 51.08% increase compared to last year's figure of 21,951 units sold for the same month.

Semi-annual sales rise by 1.64%

The semi-annual sales for Maruti Suzuki during the period from April to October have also seen a slight increase of 1.64%, recording 1,269,852 units compared to 1,249,302 units in FY 2023-24.
