Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the new GLS AMG Line, expanding its flagship SUV lineup. Priced from Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), the variant adds AMG-specific styling updates while retaining the existing mechanical setup.
The GLS 450 AMG Line is priced at Rs 3 lakh more than the standard petrol variant, while the GLS 450d AMG Line costs Rs 1 lakh more than the regular diesel version. Both variants are now available at Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the country.
The AMG Line exterior gets a sportier front bumper with larger air intakes, body-coloured wheel arch cladding, and side sills. At the rear, there's a revised bumper with a diffuser-like insert in black and a slim chrome strip. Inside, the SUV features a new AMG twin-spoke steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and AMG-branded floor mats, boosting its premium and sporty appeal.
Customers can also opt for the Night Package, which brings black accents to the wing mirrors, window trims, roof rails, and 21-inch alloy wheels. The grille slats get a dark chrome finish, while the dashboard is finished in black leather, giving the cabin a more dramatic and aggressive look.
Mechanically, the GLS AMG Line remains unchanged. It continues with a 3.0-litre inline-six engine, available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol produces 381PS and 500Nm, while the diesel generates 367PS and 750Nm. Both are paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and come with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive as standard.
