Mercedes-Benz India has announced a two-phase price hike for its entire car lineup due to rising input costs. The first phase will take effect in June 2025, while the second phase is set for September 2025, increasing prices by 1.5%.
The C-Class, E-Class, GLC, GLE, GLS, EQS, and Maybach S-Class will face price increases starting June 2025. The hike ranges from Rs 90,000 for the C-Class to Rs 12.2 lakh for the Maybach S-Class, depending on the model.
Popular SUV models are also included in the hike. The GLC will see a Rs 1.5 lakh increase, the GLE by Rs 2.5 lakh, and the GLS by Rs 3.1 lakh. The all-electric EQS sedan will also be costlier by Rs 3 lakh, reflecting rising costs in the EV segment as well.
The E-Class, one of Mercedes-Benz India’s best-selling models, will undergo a Rs 2 lakh price increase. Despite being a core part of the brand’s success in the country, the model is not exempt from the rising cost pressures driving these pricing adjustments.
The company attributes the hikes to a 10% depreciation of the Indian rupee against the Euro over the past four months. This has significantly raised the cost of importing parts and fully built units.
