Mercedes has unveiled the Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, an ultra-luxurious variant of the standard SL Roadster, claiming it to be the sportiest car in Maybach's history. This model stands out as the only two-seater Maybach currently in production.
The SL 680 showcases a striking Maybach grille with thin vertical slats that are illuminated, along with a redesigned front bumper adorned with a lot of chrome embellishments and diffuser chrome tailpipes.
The Maybach SL 680 will be available in Garnet Red Metallic and Opalite White Magno, featuring a sophisticated two-tone finish with an Obsidian Black hood, customised according to the customer.
The Maybach SL 680 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes’ 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. The SL 680 can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.1 seconds.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 features a noise-optimised exhaust system, an extensive insulation package, and a comfort-focused suspension setup with soft engine mounts, ensuring a smoother driving experience.
While Mercedes has not yet disclosed the pricing for the Maybach SL 680, it is expected to be more expensive than the AMG SL 55, which is currently priced at Rs 2.44 crore (ex-showroom) in India. Deliveries for the SL 680 are set to begin in Europe in 2025.
