MG Comet EV gets more expensive in July 2025 — New prices revealed

MG Comet EV price hiked in July 2025

2025 has definitely not been a quiet year for the MG Comet EV. The first half brought a series of price revisions and a model-year update—and the second half isn't slowing down either. MG has once again increased the price of the Comet EV, this time by up to Rs 15,000.

MG Comet variants with 3.3kW AC Charger

The Executive, Excite, and Exclusive variants of the Comet EV have received price hikes of Rs 14,300, Rs 15,000, and Rs 15,000, respectively. All three trims come equipped with the 3.3kW AC charger.

MG Comet variants with 7.4kW AC Fast Charger

For the Comet EV variants paired with the faster 7.4kW AC charger, the Excite FC has seen a Rs 15,000 price increase, while the Exclusive FC is now dearer by Rs 13,700. The MG Comet Blackstorm FC edition price has gone up by Rs 12,700.

MG Comet EV base trims get up to Rs 15,000 price hike

Comet EV variants under the BaaS program—specifically the Excite and Exclusive trims—have also become more expensive, with prices rising between Rs 13,700 and Rs 15,000. The Blackstorm FC edition under BaaS has received a hike of Rs 12,700. However, the entry-level, Comet Executive, variant remains untouched, still priced at Rs 4.99 lakh.

MG Comet EV battery rental fee

In addition to the ex-showroom price hike, the battery rental fee under the BaaS model has also gone up. It now costs Rs 3.1 per kilometre, compared to the previous rate of Rs 2.9/km.
