The price of the MG Comet in India has been increased, with the hike ranging from Rs 4,000 to as much as Rs 35,700. After this update, the EV now starts at Rs 7.35 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.86 lakh.
The MG Comet Executive variant has received the highest price hike of Rs 35,700. With this increase, the base variant is now priced at Rs 7,35,500. It comes with a 3.3kW AC charger.
The MG Comet Excite with the 3.3kW AC charger has received a price increase of Rs 16,000. On the other hand, the Excite FC variant, which comes with a 7.4kW AC charger, gets the lowest hike among all variants at Rs 4,000.
Buyers will now have to pay Rs 5,300 more for the MG Comet Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants. After the price hike, these variants are now available at Rs 9,41,100 and Rs 9,83,100, respectively.
The MG Comet Blackstorm FC, which comes with a 7.4kW AC charger, is now priced at Rs 9,86,100. It gets a similar price hike of Rs 5,300, just like the Exclusive variant.
The MG Comet EV with the BaaS program has an upfront price starting from Rs 4.99 lakh, going up to Rs 7.49 lakh. The battery rental cost stays the same across all variants, priced at Rs 2.9 per km.
