MG Motor India is celebrating its sixth anniversary with some serious price cuts across its lineup. One of the biggest drops is on the MG Hector, which is now up to Rs 2.14 lakh cheaper, depending on the variant. That said, not every variant is cheaper. The entry-level Style version has actually gone by Rs 25,000. And these updated prices aren’t permanent—they’re only around for a limited time.
Prices for the MG Hector’s petrol manual variants—Shine Pro, Select Pro, Smart Pro, and Sharp Pro—have been cut by anywhere between Rs 81,000 and Rs 2.14 lakh, depending on the trim. Meanwhile, the base Style variant has gone in the opposite direction. It now costs Rs 14.50 lakh, up by Rs 25,000.
As for the Hector petrol CVT variants, the price cuts vary quite a bit across the range. The Shine Pro now costs Rs 40,000 less, while the Select Pro gets a much steeper drop of Rs 1.70 lakh. On the higher end, the Sharp Pro, Blackstorm, and Snowstorm editions all get the same Rs 1.96 lakh cut. The top-spec Savvy Pro is also cheaper now, with a Rs 1.94 lakh reduction.
MG Hector price for the diesel trims has also been revised across the board. The Shine Pro is now Rs 31,000 cheaper, while the Select Pro gets a more substantial drop of Rs 1.03 lakh. Further up the range, the MG Hector price for the Sharp Pro diesel, Blackstorm diesel, and Snowstorm diesel trims has been reduced by a flat Rs 1.44 lakh.
The MG Hector comes with two engine options: a 1.5L turbo petrol engine, which is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT, and a 2.0L diesel engine, which is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
