Renault is all set to launch the 2025 Kwid EV, known as the E Kwid, in Brazil. This model replaces the outgoing Kwid E-Tech and is based on the globally sold Dacia Spring. Its India launch is likely to follow soon, as test mules have been spotted on local roads.
While the new Kwid EV retains the familiar silhouette, it now features updated styling elements such as split LED headlamps, LED DRLs, Y-shaped LED tail-lamps, skid plates, and body cladding, lending it a rugged, small-SUV appearance.
The cabin gets a redesigned dashboard with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen (wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay), a 7.0-inch digital cluster, cruise control, reverse camera, power windows, and a new 3-spoke steering wheel.
Globally, the Kwid EV comes with a 26.8kWh battery paired to a 65PS front-mounted motor, offering a 225km claimed range. Charging options include 7kW AC and 30kW DC fast charging, the latter charging 20–80% in 45 minutes.
Although Renault hasn’t confirmed the India launch date, road tests suggest it’s not far off. For now, the brand is focused on launching the next-gen Duster and the new Boreal SUV before shifting its spotlight to EVs.
