Mercedes revealed the AMG GT XX concept electric car a few weeks back, and it has now broken a world record with its newest concept car.
The GT XX covered a distance of 5,479km in a mere 24 hours. That’s more than 200 kilometres every hour!
The said record was achieved at the Nardo high-speed test track in Italy. Two Mercedes-AMG GT XXes travelled alongside each other for the record.
Another record that was smashed by the GT XX was going the distance equivalent to the circumference of the Earth when measured across the Equator, i.e., 40,075km, in just 7 days, 13 hours, 24 minutes, and 7.10 seconds.
Powering the GT XX is a set of three electric motors with a combined output of 1,341PS. The carmaker hasn’t disclosed the battery specs of the car yet.
