Rolls Royce Cullinan Series II is the updated version of the Cullinan SUV that sold like hot cakes for the British ultra-luxury carmaker. The new Cullinan features some visual changes along with a few tweaks inside the cabin and a huge bump in base price.
At the front, the DRLs are now flanked by angular surfaces that aim to give it a more modern look, but end up making it look a bit weird. There are also redesigned air intakes and an illuminated grille. The rear is more or less identical to the outgoing generation while the alloy wheel design is a new one, featuring 7 spokes.
There’s a large glass panel on the dashboard that houses the infotainment screen, instrument panel, the Spirit of Ecstasy, a classy clock and a few more features. Below the glass panel are AC vents and dials & switches for the air-con controls.
The regular Cullinan II gets a 6.7-litre V12 engine that puts out 571PS of power and 850Nm of peak torque. The same unit on the Black Badge produces 608PS of power and 900Nm of peak torque.
The starting ex-showroom price of the new Rolls Royce Cullinan is Rs 10.50 crore and that of the Cullinan II Black Badge is Rs 12.25 crore. There are innumerable customisation options that can take this price up by lakhs and even crores.
The company has told us that the Cullinan has had its hand in bringing down their average customer age from 56 in 2010 to 43 in 2024. Furthermore, in 2018, around 30% of RRs were chauffeur driven, which has dropped to around 10% today.
