The launch timeline for the fourth-gen BMW X3 has been revealed, with its debut set for January at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
The upcoming X3 will be available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and a diesel engine. Both engines will come paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
When the upcoming X3 is revealed globally in June, two additional variants, the 30e xDrive and the X3 M50 xDrive with a 6-cylinder engine, are also mentioned. However, it is expected that these two variants likely won't be available in India.
The fourth-generation BMW X3 will feature an iconic kidney grille, sharper headlamps with twin L-shaped DRLs, and wider air outlets, while the edges will have a softer appearance. At the rear, it will offer new tail lamps with redesigned profile along with twin-pipe exhausts and vertically positioned reflectors.
The new BMW X3 will be 34 mm longer than its predecessor, measuring 4,755 mm, and will have a width increase of 29 mm to 1,920 mm. Additionally, it will feature a 25 mm reduction in height, bringing it to 1,660 mm, along with wider tracks for enhanced stability.
The fourth-generation X3 is expected to be priced between Rs 65 lakh and Rs 72 lakh. In terms of rivals, it will continue to compete with the Volvo XC60, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5.
