Nissan India has introduced the Magnite CNG as a dealer-level retrofit, following Renault’s approach. Bookings will start from June 1.
The Mangite CNG is initially available in seven states: Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka.
The CNG option is available in six variants, priced from Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Each CNG variant costs Rs 75,000 more than its petrol counterpart.
Powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS, 96Nm in petrol mode). Expected to have reduced performance in CNG mode, although official CNG specs are not yet revealed. Turbo petrol+CNG combination is not available.
The CNG kit is provided by Motozen, installed at government-authorized fitment centres. A second phase rollout will cover additional states in the future.
