Suzuki Motor Corporation has been able to sell over 1 crore units of the Wagon R globally till date!
The car has achieved this feat in just under 32 years, with its initial introduction in Japan back in September 1993.
The badge is sold in more than 75 countries across the globe, with multiple configurations on offer like the Wagon R Smile, which is a Kei car, and the Wagon R Wide.
With production beginning in December 1999, the Wagon R has been on sale for about 26 years, often ranking on top of the Indian car sales charts.
Of the 1 crore units sold across the world, over 32 lakh units have been sold only in India.
The car is currently sold in its third-generational guise here in India, and comes with the options of a 1.0-litre and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The smaller engine can also be had with a CNG kit.
