Renault India has presented some units of the Renault Triber MPV and Renault Kiger sub-compact SUV to the Eastern Command of the Indian Army, showing its respect and commitment towards the Indian armed forces.
It is not the first time that Renault India has presented its cars to the Indian Army. It had earlier donated some units of the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber to the XIV Corps, Northern Command.
Venkatram M., MD and CEO, Renault India said, "We are truly honoured to support the Eastern Command of the Indian Army by providing these vehicles. The Triber and Kiger reflect Renault's commitment to quality, safety, and the Make in India initiative. We are confident that these vehicles will improve the mobility and logistical capabilities of the Eastern Command."
The Kiger is Renault’s sub-compact SUV that is priced between Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi ) and Rs 11.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It can be specced with either a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, both of which are also seen on the Nissan Magnite.
The Triber is Renault’s MPV that has been selling in good numbers and is leading the Renault cars sales in India. Powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, the Renault Triber price in India ranges between Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 8.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
While Renault, like some other players, has been struggling to thrive in the Indian market, the upcoming Renault Duster compact SUV can prove to be a hope for the French automaker in reviving sales.
