The recent GST revision has brought real benefits to the automotive sector, especially with the reduced tax on four-wheelers. Like other manufacturers, Skoda India is doing its part to pass those savings on to customers. As a result, prices across its ICE lineup have dropped by up to Rs 3.28 lakh.
Skoda Kylaq is the brand’s sub-4-meter SUV. The GST rate on this model has dropped from 29%, including cess, to 18%. This reduction translates to a price cut of up to Rs 1.19 lakh, depending on the variant. As a result, the starting price has fallen from Rs 8.25 lakh to Rs 7.54 lakh.
Skoda has reduced the price of the Slavia by up to Rs 63,207 in India, with the exact amount varying across different trims. The GST rate, which was previously 45% including cess, has now dropped to 40%. Because of this, the Slavia’s starting price has come down from Rs 8.25 lakh to Rs 7.54 lakh.
For the Kushaq, the pre-GST revision price started at Rs 10.99 lakh. After the GST cut, prices have fallen by up to Rs 65,828, depending on the variant. The GST rate for the Kushaq also dropped from 45% to 40%.
The GST rate on the Skoda Kodiaq has been reduced from 50% to 40%, resulting in a massive price cut of up to Rs 3.28 lakh. This brings the starting price down from Rs 46.89 lakh to Rs 43.76 lakh.
