The upcoming Skoda Epiq has entered the testing phase, with the heavily camouflaged test mule spied for the first time. Tipped to be the smallest Skoda model yet, the Epiq will be positioned as the brand’s entry-level EV and will be built on the MEB Entry platform.
The new Skoda Epiq will be the first model to embody the brand’s 'Modern Solid' design language. Skoda says the Epiq will also feature a minimalist Modern Solid interior, crafted with a focus on durable, practical, and sustainable materials.
In the spied photos, the Skoda Epiq test mule reveals several exterior highlights — a slightly flat bonnet, air vents with a slatted design on the lower section, partially visible headlamps, pull-out rear door handles, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, roof-mounted spoiler, and T-shaped LED taillights visible with close inspection.
According to the carmaker, the Skoda Epiq will be packed with features including LED headlamps and taillights, a free-floating centre console, a two-spoke steering wheel, 490 litres of boot space, mobile digital key, bidirectional charging, and more. It will also offer clever elements like bag hooks, cargo elements, fastening points, and a hidden underfloor storage compartment.
The Skoda Epiq range is claimed to be 400 kilometres. The EV is expected to come with two battery pack options, which could be somewhere between 35kWh and 56kWh.
In the global market, Skoda has revealed that the upcoming Skoda Epiq will be priced at around 25,000 Euros. Meanwhile, in the Indian market, it is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.
The Skoda Epiq launch is expected to take place globally later this year, while on Indian soil, it is anticipated to arrive sometime next year.
