Tata Motors is reportedly introducing a lifetime battery warranty for the Tata Curvv EV, following similar coverage for the Harrier EV and Nexon EV 45. This move aims to increase buyer confidence in Tata’s long-term EV offerings.
The lifetime warranty will be available to both new and existing owners of the Curvv EV. For the first owner, the battery is covered for 15 years from the date of registration. If the vehicle is sold, the second owner receives a reduced warranty of 8 years or 1.6 lakh km, whichever comes first.
The warranty applies only to models using Tata’s new prismatic battery cell technology, including the Curvv EV, Nexon EV 45kWh, and Harrier EV. Other EVs like the Tiago EV and Punch EV are not eligible for this warranty program.
To maintain eligibility, Curvv EV owners must service their vehicle exclusively at Tata-authorised dealerships and strictly adhere to the official service schedule. Any deviation could result in loss of warranty coverage.
The Curvv EV is available with two battery options: 45kWh (150 PS, 215 Nm) and 55kWh (167 PS, 215 Nm). Both variants are eligible for the lifetime battery warranty, provided ownership and servicing conditions are met.
