Based on Tata Motors’ all-new platform, the Curvv gets sleek LED headlamps and tail lamps. Curvv ICE’s front is its most distinguishable feature as it has a functional grille and air vents to assist in cooling the mechanical components. Curvv.ev, on the other hand, has an electric front charging lid for its V2L and V2L technology.
Tata Curvv is the first in its segment to offer a powered tailgate with gesture controls and comes with premium flush door handles and a stunning roofline. The Curvv.ev and Curvv ICE get 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts and distinctive designs. The Curvv also gets a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof.
Tata Curvv comes with an electric four-spoke steering wheel. It gets a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, a wireless phone charger, and more.
The Tata Curvv.ev comes with an option of a 55 kWh and a 45 kWh battery pack with a Gen-2 PMS motor generating a whopping 215 Nm of torque, while the Curvv ICE will be offered with options of 1.2-litre Revotron petrol, 1.2-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine, all of them paired to either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCA.
While we have limited information on Curvv ICE’s performance, the Curvv.ev, built on Tata’s new Gen-2 EV architecture Acti.ev platform, can cover a range of 502 km with the 45kWh battery and 585 km with the 55kWh variant on a single charge, as per MIDC testing. It is the fastest electric vehicle from Tata yet as it can reach 0-100 kph in just 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kph.
The 5-star BNCAP-capable Tata Curvv has been launched with a ton of safety features such as Level-2 ADAS, an acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS) for pedestrian safety, six airbags, ESP, disc brakes on all four wheels, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold function.
Tata Curvv has a water-wading depth of 450 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm. The vehicle offers 500 litres of boot space and will also include features like multi-mode regeneration and a 360° surround view system with a blind spot view monitor.
The Tata Curvv.ev has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 17.49 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the base 45kWh Creative variant, and its fully-loaded 55kWh Empowered + A variant is priced at Rs 21.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). Prices of Tata Curvv ICE are expected to range between Rs 12-18 Lakh.
Curvv.ev gets 3 variants: Accomplished, Empowered and Creative while the Curvv ICE is expected to be offered in four major variants— Smart, Pure, Creative and Accomplished.
The Curvv.ev gets an exclusive colour option of Virtual Sunrise while Curvv ICE has Opera Blue, Gold Essence and Daytona Grey, in addition to the common colour options.
