With the new GST reform lowering tax rates on four-wheelers, carmakers are adjusting prices to pass the benefits to customers starting September 22. Tata’s sub-4-meter Nexon has seen a price drop between Rs 68,100 and Rs 1,54,700. While Tata’s official website hasn’t updated the prices yet, VahanWarta reports that the Nexon will now start at around Rs 7.31 lakh and go up to Rs 14.05 lakh.
According to sources, Tata has slashed prices on the Nexon petrol manual trims by anywhere between Rs 68,100 and Rs 1.15 lakh. The AMT variants have also seen a cut, with prices down by Rs 81,700 to Rs 1.05 lakh.
The Tata Nexon petrol DCT trims have also seen a significant price revision, with cuts ranging from Rs 1.03 lakh to Rs 1.25 lakh.
If you're looking at the Tata Nexon diesel with a manual gearbox, there’s been a notable price drop. The most affordable trims are now cheaper by Rs 99,100, while the higher-spec ones see a cut of up to Rs 1,47,700. For the diesel AMT trims, prices have gone down too — between Rs 1,16,000 and Rs 1,54,700, depending on the variant.
The GST benefit on the Tata Nexon also extends to its CNG trims. The base variant’s price has come down by Rs 76,600, and as you move up the range, the price cut goes up to Rs 1,23,500, depending on the variant.
