The 2025 Tata Safari petrol is expected to debut in November 2025, as per a recent media report.
It will feature the 1.5-litre T-GDI petrol engine first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, producing 168 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. Transmission options are yet to be confirmed but are expected to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
The Safari petrol is likely to offer the same features as the diesel version, including a 360-degree camera, ventilated and powered front seats, Level-2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, digital cluster, and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.
The petrol variants are expected to be priced lower than the diesel models, making the Safari more accessible to a wider customer base.
In addition to the Safari petrol, Tata is also working on launching the Sierra EV, Sierra ICE and the Tata Punch facelift.
