Tata Motors sold a total of 71,996 units in July 2024. This was a 10.7% decline as compared to the sales for July 2023, which stood at 80,633 units.
Tata sold 97.45% of its total sales, which translates to 70,161 units, in the domestic market. This was an 11% decline from July 2023, when Tata Motors sold 78,844 units. Domestic sales of passenger vehicles stood at 44,725 units, while exports accounted for a meagre 229 units.
Tata Motors sold a total of 44,954 passenger vehicles in July 2024, which was 6% lower than the 47,689 units sold in July 2023. Only 11.1%, that is 5,027 units sold were EVs while the rest 39,927 units were ICE-powered. The sale of EVs declined by 21% from the same month last year.
Only passenger carriers were sold with a 3% increase in their sales, while the rest of the categories like domestic commercial vehicle sales and exports took huge blows with 19% and 7% decrease in sales from last year bringing total commercial vehicle sales declined by 18%.
