Tesla has unveiled the Model Y L in China, priced at 339,000 yuan (approx. USD 47,120). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September 2025.
The SUV features a redesigned roofline and rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.216. It measures 4976 mm x 1920 mm x 1668 mm with a 3040 mm wheelbase, making it more spacious than the standard Model Y.
The cabin gets a new 16-inch central touchscreen, dual fast wireless charging (50W + 30W), and an upgraded audio system with additional speakers. Charging ports are provided for all three rows of seats.
Powered by a dual-motor AWD system, the SUV delivers 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. An 82 kWh battery provides a CLTC range of 751 km with an energy consumption rate of 12.8 kWh/100 km.
The Tesla Model Y L India launch has not been confirmed yet. Given that the Model Y is the only Tesla on sale in India, the L could be a worthy extension to the lineup.
