Tesla Model Y officially launched in India

The Model Y is available in two variants—RWD priced at Rs 59.89 lakh and Long Range RWD at Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Tesla is also offering a Full Self-Driving (FSD) package as a future software update, priced at Rs 6 lakh. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 2025.

Tesla Model Y bookings open

Customers in India can reserve their Model Y by paying a token amount of Rs 22,000, followed by a confirmed booking payment of Rs 3 lakh within seven days. This two-step booking process ensures a secure spot in Tesla’s initial delivery batches.

Range, performance, and charging

Tesla claims a 500km range (WLTP) for the RWD variant and 622km (WLTP) for the Long Range RWD. The Long Range model is also quicker, reaching 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, compared to the RWD’s 5.9 seconds. It also supports 250kW charging, capable of adding 267km of range in just 15 minutes.

Tesla Model Y dimensions and boot space

The Tesla Model Y measures 4,790mm in length, 1,982mm in width, and 1,624mm in height, with a ground clearance of 167mm. With the rear seats folded, it offers a boot space of 2,138 litres.

Warranty and after-sales support

Tesla provides a standard vehicle warranty of 4 years or 80,000km, whichever comes first. Additionally, the battery and drive unit are covered for 8 years or 1,92,000km, offering peace of mind for long-term ownership. Details about service centres and after-sales support in India are yet to be fully disclosed.
