Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the 2025 Maruti Escudo, its most technologically advanced SUV under the Arena brand. It will be the first Arena model to feature Level-2 ADAS, elevating safety standards in this segment.
Alongside Level-2 ADAS, the Escudo is expected to offer six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, seatbelt reminders, and height-adjustable seatbelts, enhancing passenger protection and driving confidence.
The SUV is set to introduce premium features never seen before in the Arena lineup, including a powered tailgate, Dolby Atmos-integrated sound system, surround-view camera, head-up display, front ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof, making it a feature-packed offering.
The Escudo will likely use the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine (103PS, 138Nm) with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic options. A CNG variant is also expected, while a hybrid option is unlikely, though AWD capability could be offered.
The 2025 Maruti Escudo is expected to launch on September 3, 2025, following delays with the e Vitara. It will compete against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq in the mid-size SUV segment.
