Now that the Maruti Ciaz also bites the dust, the Verna is among the last standing C-segment sedans in India. Here are five reasons to consider buying the Hyundai Verna in 2025.
Hyundai Verna has the most powerful engine in its segment, with the turbo-petrol motor putting out 160PS of maximum power and 253Nm of peak torque. It comes with the option of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The sedan comes packed with features such as ventilated and heated front seats, a premium sound system, digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, and more.
Verna has secured a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP crash test, and comes with a host of safety features including six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, Level-2 ADAS features, and more.
The car gets a distinctive dashboard design and leatherette upholstery for the seats, all of which come together to provide a luxurious cabin experience. Fit and finish levels are good, so is the quality of materials used.
While the styling of the Verna has received a lot of criticism, I personally like how it looks, and the design grows on you with time (not that weird new spoiler though). The rear end particularly looks fancy and appealing.
