Tata Motors has just launched the electric version of its popular SUV, the Tata Harrier, called the Tata Harrier EV. Here are five things to know about this new electric car in India.
The electric SUV is being offered with two battery pack options — 65kWh and 75kWh. The AWD 75kWh variant produces 504Nm of peak torque. Detailed powertrain specs are awaited.
MIDC-claimed Tata Harrier EV range for the RWD 75kWh variants stands at 627 kilometres. As per Tata’s in-house C75 testing cycle, real-world range should be around 480-505 kilometres.
Key Tata Harrier EV features include dual-zone climate control, automatic park assist, digital key, 540-degree surround view cameras, V2V and V2L capabilities, eIRVM, multi-function key, a Level-2 ADAS suite, electric boss mode, and more.
Tata is offering the Harrier.ev in three broad trims — Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered. There’s also a Stealth edition on offer. Available colour options include Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, and Pristine White.
The Tata Harrier EV price in India starts at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the base Adventure trim. A detailed price list is yet to be revealed. Bookings start on July 2, with delivery timelines yet to be confirmed.
