The Innova has been a go-to MPV for a large segment of buyers looking for a 7 seater family car. BYD has launched the eMax 7, a facelifted version of the e6, to give the Innova Hycross some competition. Here’s how the two MPVs stand against each other.
The Hycross boasts a hefty and muscular look with a large front grille and sleek tail lights that are joined by a bar of chrome. The eMax 7 has a more sleek and aerodynamic styling, with a curvy body, a closed chrome grille at the front, and connected tail lights.
The Innova gets two powertrain options — a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired to a CVT producing 175PS of power, and a 2.0-litre petrol hybrid producing 186PS of power. The eMax 7 gets two options as well — a 163PS motor paired to a 55.4kWh battery, and a 204PS motor paired to a 71.8kWh battery.
Both the Hycross and the eMax 7 get plenty of features. Some of the Innova Hycross features include electrically-adjustable driver seat with memory function, ventilated seats, 360-degree cameras, rear sunshades, and more. Some of the BYD eMax 7 features include electrically-adjustable front seats, air purifier, wireless charger, 360-degree cameras, and more.
The Toyota Innova Hycross is available in 7 and 8 seater options. The BYD eMax 7 is available in 6 and 7 seater configurations.
Toyota Innova Hycross price in India ranges between Rs 18.92 lakh to Rs 30.98 lakh. BYD eMax 7 price ranges between Rs 26.90 lakh and Rs 29.90 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
